Join us on First Thursday, February 2nd for an opening party featuring pet themed paintings by Amelia Opie. There will be food and drink served. Come shop the vintage, and Amelia’s fun and unique paintings. The store will be open until 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. On First Thursday and throughout the month of February Amelia and Lulu will be donating a portion of the sales of her paintings to DoveLewis. The painting above is called "Cat In Retro Swim Suit."

Lulu’s Vintage is excited to be teaming again this year with DoveLewis for a fundraiser! DoveLewis is the only non-profit animal hospital in Portland devoted exclusively to emergency and critical care for animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Throughout the month of February 10% of all sales of vintage clothing & accessories will be donated to DoveLewis. On “Furry Friend Fridays” 20% of all sales of vintage clothing & accessories will be donated to DoveLewis.

The other night I had two musically named customers stop by the store one after another.

First Lyric from San Francisco stopped by. She has been in before and on one of her prior visits she bought the cute corduroy and fleece jacket that she is wearing in the photo posted below...

Shortly after Lyric left Melody from New York came in and bought these fabulous 1960's wool apres ski pants (these pants remind me of the kinds of pants that the women wore in the lodge scene with Fran Jeffries in the original Pink Panther movie)...

Collaged ornaments, magnets featuring vintage images, and glass & metal ornaments / sculptures by Brilliant Designs (my own line of creations).

Incredible scented candles from Illume. Scents include Balsam Cedar, Pomegranate, Twilight Vanilla and Valencia Orange.

Pre de Provence soaps are triple milled and made in France. Scents include Mint Leaf, Pomegranate, Vanilla Woods, Almond, Honey Almond, Lavender, Linden, Milk, Sage, Verbena, Lemon, Orange, Raspberry Apple/Pear, Lime Zest, and Pineapple.

Baci chocolates are delightful confections that consist of whole and chopped hazelnuts covered in dark chocolate, the chocolates have a love poem on top of them and are wrapped in silver wrappers with blue stars.
